Sisters having fun

And Sasha going stir crazy from being home all day! The last one brought tears to my eyes. We are really very lucky that our girls get along so well.

The results are in

And Dudley has chosen Sasha has the best BELLY RUBBER in the house. Seriously. Everytime, she comes near him, he flips over.

'Do you?

Sasha and I in our new 'do rags! We both were jealous of how cute Eliana's was so I ordered some for all the girls. It's a great little shop called Arfeiniel on Etsy.

Do you know?

...Dasha and Francin and Comet and Dupid and...the most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph-the-Red-Hosed-Reindeer.

Sasha was trying to remember the names of the reindeer last night. I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard. I'm not sure how Didi was able to drive straight.

Communication

Sasha and our across the street neighbors are good friends. He was yelling from his driveway and she was yelling from our backyard through the crack in the gate. They both seemed to understand each other. It was just like in the olden days before we had email or phones or even smoke signals.

The conversation went something like this:
Across the street: "SASHA! SASHA!"
Sasha sprints to the gate. "WHAT MAIT?!"
Across the street: "I AM PLAYING WITH MY NEW BIKE SO LEAVE ME ALONE, OK?!"
Sasha: "OK!"

Happy Happy Hanukkah!

Tonight was the first night of Hanukkah and I couldn't wait to give the girls their gifts. I got Sasha a WowWee Alive Tiger Cub and she was soooooo excited. It meows, purrs, growls and blinks its eyes. It's really very cute actually, and not at all creepy. She had mentioned it a few times whenever she would see a commercial on television. Her tiger cub is currently waiting on a name. Matt and I won't allow her to name it right away. When she names a toy immediately after getting it, it ends up being "Tree" or a cat named "Beary" or a Frog named "Dog". We told her she had until tomorrow night until she could settle on a name. Already, she's come up with "Stripey" (not bad), "Cheatah Girl" (ummmm it's a tiger) and "Jillian" (her current BFF's name).

I got Elmo Live for Eliana and she screamed when she opened it. He's really funny. After I wrestled him out of the box, he sat in his little chair and crossed his legs to tell a story! It was great. And then, Eliana noticed how cute Sasha's Tiger Cub was and she took it and wouldn't give it back to Sasha. We're hoping that it was just because she didn't nap today, it was late and she was overstimulated. Otherwise, the girls and I will be making a trip to Target tomorrow for another one.

Parents have to pick their battles. For peace in the K house, $50ish is a small price to pay. So this time, Eliana might win.

Happy Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Another Great Picture

Taken on our morning walk.

WOWZA!!!

Eliana is now wearing a size 8 1/2 shoe. 8 1/2!!! That's the same size my niece of 3 years and 3 months is wearing.

Yikes.

Pictures taken by Miss Big Foot herself!

Murray's Buddy

Murray has a little bichon-poodle, a bi-poo?, next door. One day a few months ago, both of them decided they would go barking crazy nuts whenever the other one would go outside to go potty. Just in one day, they both somehow communicated they would dig like crazy, two white dogs--mind you, until they reached the other side of the fence. Cosmo's grandfather tried some potted plants which didn't work and now supposedly has CONCRETE BLOCKS along the fence. It's not working.

Behold....the power of Murray....

Speaking of Potty Trains...

I have to admit I was a little bummed that Matt got to witness the first pee-pee-on-the-potty. Long story ahead....

Sasha and Eliana were playing in a box today. Really? Yes, really. I spent $8,678 on their Hanukkah gifts and they are happy playing in a box, with stolen crayons from various restaurants.

ANYWAY..........

Sasha came running over and said, "Mom! She's pooping!" And we said, "How did you know? Is she stinky?" And Sasha answered, "No I looked in her diaper." Ok Gross!

And then Sasha went back out to finish coloring the box, which she named Sparky for some reason. A few minutes later, she came running back in. "Mom, Dudley keeps trying to get in the box and he's barking at me." So I walked out to check out Sparky, remember he's the box, and I see that Eliana has nothing on from the waist down. She had taken her diaper off, "Mommy. Poopy, yuck stinky." Fortunately 'Sparky' held all the contents of her diaper which actually were poopy, yucky AND stinky. Hence the reason Dudley, the dog that he is, was trying to get into the box.

Just for fun, I asked, "Oh, do you have to go pee-pee? Let's hurry!" We ran to the bathroom and SHE WENT PEE PEE IN THE POTTY! She held it all the way to our bathroom!

Like I said, ALL ABOARD!

All Aboard!

Sasha and I were on the way to the movie last night when Matt called. He was changing Eliana's diaper and she said, "Pee Pee, please". So he took her to the potty and she peed! A little tiny pee but she peed in the potty!!!

I was so excited that I had to call Didi and Pap but it went straight to their voicemail so my next call was to Aunt Kerri. We were talking and I said to Aunt Kerri, "At the rate she's going, she'll be potty-trained by next week".

After I hung up the phone, Sasha said, "Mom, what's a potty-train?"

Wouldn't it be nice if when it was time to potty-train the wee-ones (pun totally intended), we could put them on the Potty Train and they would come back totally potty-trained?

Bah Humbug!

Matt thinks I'm a Scrooge. I'm not sending out holiday cards this year. Don't be sad when you don't get your holiday greetings from the K family. We didn't disown you because of something you did (unless there is something you need to tell me), I just don't want to do them this year or...well, or ever again. In my ongoing quest to be more "GREEN", I've really started thinking about what a waste of paper these things are. I mean really, do any of you REALLY keep them past the holidays? (I know my friend Robyn does, but she's weird---and I mean that in the nicest way, Robyn.) So you tear open the envelope and throw that away and then you enjoy our beautiful faces for a few weeks and then you just drop us in the trash. That's it, done. $100 and up DOWN.THE.DRAIN. I mean really, those of you to whom (like my grammar)I would have sent holiday cards, you know we are sending holiday wishes/wishing you joy, peace and love/delivering holiday joy/sharing the spirit of the season/blah-blah-blah your way.

So this year, I took the money we would have spent on our cards and I made 2 donations instead. Neither organization will surprise you. I donated to Project Cuddle and Best Friends Animal Society. I think babies and animals need our money more. Maybe next year you will think about doing the same? And to those of you who are sending us holiday greetings. Thank you. We know you love us. Who wouldn't? ;)

Here are some pictures we could have used for our cards:

Don't Overindulge this Holiday Season.

Have a Rockin' Holiday.

Leave me Alone this Holiday Season!

Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-laaaaa!

Loves

Eliana LOVES her some chocolate!! The hand is asking for more, of course.

Bandaids, too! I have to hide them from her because she knows how to open them and peel off the paper.

Memories

I love this outfit and I think this may have been the last time she wears it so I took some pictures. It's getting kind of tight...must have shrunk in the wash. ;)

Fun!

My new camera has a "Food" setting on it. (I used to take pictures of the Yummy pretzel treats, too.)

Another Modeling Session

Sasha and I thought she looked super cute so she asked me take a picture. One picture turned into another modeling session.

Somebody set us free!

I couldn't wait.

I gave the girls an early Hanukkah present tonight. We are going to have great weather this week and I knew they would love it. And...well, I have quite a few other gifts to give them so we won't be lacking for any gifts to give. It turns out that Murray liked it, too.
