I just know these are our children

The videos arrived today. There is one video of E. from October. The children arrived at the orphanage in June. In this video, she is one sad little girl. As soon as the video starts, she is sitting in a chair and my eyes filled with tears. I want to love this little girl.

The second video starts with a different E.. She looks healthy. She's smiling and laughing. When she smiles, her whole face lights up. She has big, beautiful brown eyes and long eyelashes.

Then, I. comes on. I just started laughing. The first image is of him standing very close to the person taking the video and he has both hands in his pockets. I'm not sure if I've ever used this word to describe a child before but he is just dear. He is very animated. He has good fine motor skills, too!

We're still waiting on his official records but these children are already in my heart.

My heart stopped beating

"This is children that I was promising Kline family. Do you want to send few
pictures of each kid to them
And short info about them. "

This is the email from N to R. Pictures of the children were attached. I kept checking my email all day waiting for this and I was on the phone with Nanny when I got it. I opened the first picture of I (definitely not an American name). Then I opened E's pictures. My heart stopped. I had been looking at available children online for months now and I've never had this reaction. I think Nanny was talking to me but I was just devouring the pictures of these children and babbling away. They were absolutely adorable.

Their medical reports are a little scary but we were warned about that. We are going to wait for I's medical record and have a doctor look at their records. He's located in Tampa and specializes in International adoption. The agency is also going to send us a video.

I forwarded them to mom and dad and Kerri. Mom said they were my "sonogram" pictures.

Already!

Today we met R., our caseworker for the adoption. We also met N.. N. is the founder's wife. After we got past introductions, N. said, "I have a beautiful pair of siblings in mind for you. A 4 year old boy and a 7 year old girl." We didn't know what to say. We were a little in shock because we weren't expecting to hear about children until our paperwork was completed. N. said that the little boy's picture is on their website. She told us that while the worker was taking pictures, he asked her if she was going to take him home. She told him, "No. but I'm going to find a family for you." He then went into the corner and sat with his head in his hands. This is the picture that is on the website. I started crying when she told me this. Poor baby. Everytime I look at the picture, I cry. I immediately emailed Nadia and Renee and told them that we'd like more information on the children.

Things are moving along.

Everything was submitted and our homestudy is officially complete! We just got our USCIS (United States Citizenship Immigration Services) fingerprints on Wednesday. We have to wait now for their approval. It could take quite a while.

While we were waiting for someone to take our fingerprints, we were reading over all the documents we needed to prepare. Geesh! It's worse than buying a house. I've already gathered some of the easy ones but there is still a lot more to go. Someone on one of my online support groups calls herself "paper pregnant". So, I'm paper pregnant! I'm in the first trimester. I really hope I go into "pre-term labor" because I don't think I want to wait 9 months.

Tomorrow, we are meeting with a few people from our agency. They are going to be in Orlando for an informational meeting. I'm excited to meet them in person.
