Trick or Treat!

Sasha loves Trick or Treat! Once she realized what was happening, she started helping herself to the candy! So, I had to take her to each door and tell her to take just one piece! We took a break after a few houses, then Matt took her to a few more. The candy is now on top of the refrigerator, just where it used to be when I was a kid! Now I know why our parents kept it up there, not so we didn't eat it all but so they could pick out what they wanted.
All the pictures are here: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=fv4uf6a.6cjwmffu&x=0&y=ewl8oh
As always, please excuse the red-eye. The website feature doesn't work correctly and I'm waiting for our new editing software.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

This is my niece Juliana. Could she be any cuter?

It's my party.

After countless hours spent at countless baby showers, I was starting to become an expert at the games. Even though I've never had a baby, I can unscramble abby temsi (baby items) like nobody's business.

Well today, I finally had MY first shower! Yahoo! It was nice to spend time with friends, have good conversation, and good food without wondering when it would be my turn.

Thank you friends.

The Birthday Dog

Happy Birthday Murray!

Exhibit A

Please enter these pictures into your records as to why Mommy doesn't get enough sleep. Sasha woke up at 6 AM this morning which would have been 7 without the time change. That would have been fine except she really needed more sleep. So, we put her in bed with us. She fell asleep around 6:40 and of course Mommy was still awake. As you can see from these pictures, it would have been impossible for Mommy to fall back to sleep because she DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM!
Yes, for those of you who know my Tubby (and no, I'm not talking about Matt or Murray) that is Tubby under Sasha.

The "Great" Nanny

Great Nanny came to visit today! As always, Sasha put on a show. She was very tired today so Nanny didn't get the full effect. Next time we'll be ready for you Nanny, so rest up!

First Fall Festival

Although it was 80 and sunny, we went to our first Fall Festival today. Here is the link to all the pictures: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=fv4uf6a.9obk55wa&x=1&y=r77kcg

The other children are friends of ours.

Florida living

These 3 Sandhill Cranes are always visiting our neighborhood. It's a mommy, daddy and their baby. But, you must stay out of their way or they will let you know if you are getting too close. Sasha and I took this picture from the car.

Buddies

Good ol' Murray!

A Classic

Sasha got a Sit 'N Spin today! Boy have they ever changed. This one lights up and plays music. (That is Murray barking in the top picture. He wants to play, too.) I laughed when I saw the patent date on the bottom...1973! Are we old or what?

Sasha also had her first shopping trip with me today. It's nice because she doesn't get impatient like her daddy does. We had to return some things and get some cooler weather clothing for her. She was really good and enjoys picking out clothes as much as I do.

She even told me in the store that she had to go pee-pee! That is an accomplishment! We'll ignore the fact that we dropped the whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet. Everybody makes mistakes.

Sleeping Beauty

We went to Story Time at the library today. Sasha did great! We took a successful potty break during and she came back and announced to the whole room, "I went pee-pee in the potty!" It's a good thing she didnt' tell them that Mommy went pee-pee too!

Then we went to the park with our friend Matt. Needless to say, she was very tired.

A Very Cool Gift

Sasha's first FAO Schwartz Stuffed animal, Penelope. Murray is very frustrated with it because he can't figure out how to carry it around!

"Daddy"

We call this piece "Daddy". It was done when the artist was just 3 years old. Her mother added the eyes and showed her where to put the shapes. Starting bid is $20,000.

Just a cute picture of Dudley...

...with his beloved "Greenie". He waits until Murray has finished his, then eats it in front of him!

Hunker down

Fortunately for us, we only got the outer edges of Wilma. The power flickered a few times but Elmo played on.

It's amazing that just a few short weeks ago, Sasha wasn't interested in more than 10 minutes of a video and now she chooses to watch entire videos!

Thanks for the new hat Claire. She wants to wear it all the time!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

She did blow out some of the candles! We've already realized, it's better to do things like this naked!

Birthday Cake

The very best part of making a birthday cake!!!

Appy Birtday

Happy Birthday Dudley! Dudley is 5 years old today! Sasha and I sang "Appy Birtday" to him this morning and gave him a special treat.

Daddy's birtday is on Sunday and Murray's birtday is next Sunday.

A Green Thumb (or belly)?

Today, we repotted a plant. She really enjoyed it and was fascinated by the roots. We are going to make a little garden in the backyard next Spring (which is about February here, for all you Northerners).

My new wheels

Thanks Aunt Kerri for the new Barbie Big Wheel. It only took me 2 hours to put the thing together. I decided to skip the stickers!

She's trying the pedals but we have to work on that. She also doesn't like going uphill but who does?

Good Sports!

Um. Excuse me. Maltese are supposed to be non-working dogs. We are not getting paid enough to keep up with a 3 year old!

Good Report

We went to the pediatrician yesterday for a check-up. (I did bring the camera and of course, I forgot to use it.) Sasha is in the 75 percentile for height and only 10th percentile for weight. We will have no problem correcting this because she loves to eat! Not only does she love to eat, she loves to eat anything! She's healthy and that's all we could have asked for!

Beep! Beep!

We had a date with twin 4 year old boys on Sunday. They have A LOT of toys and Sasha wanted to try her hand at driving. Good thing she didn't have her cell phone because she really needs to work on her driving skills. She likes to look the way she wants to go but turn the steering wheel the other way! Oh well, we've got plenty of time before driving lessons.

Dad? Are you ready for that? You've already been through 2 girls and stick shifts, you can handle one more!

2 Problems

#1 Sasha's hair goes in all different directions.

#2 Mommy's idea of a hairstyle is to pull it back in a ponytail.

Needless to say, Mommy needs a lot of work in styling little girl's hair. Fortunately, when Sasha saw herself in the mirror, she said, "Wow! So beautiful!"

Quality Literature

Who says you have to give up your life when you have a child? Daddy can still read US Weekly!

Another Registry

I just thought I'd make it easier on everyone and register on Babies R Us/Toys R Us too!

Ok. I think I'm done, now. It's just so fun to register for stuff.

My bathroom

The master bathroom is what made me fall in love with this house. Now, I'm truly glad we got it because the garden tub keeps Sasha occupied so mommy can take a shower!

A true woman

Juggling her cell phone, purse, and toys all at one time!

1st Trip to Disney

Daddy really wanted to take her so we went. We only rode the Merry-Go-Round, Dumbo and It's a Small World this time. She loved everything except for the booms the fireworks made. She fell asleep in the car in about 3 minutes!

Here is our photo album for your viewing pleasure:

Or just a cutie-pie?

Diva?

Time flies when you are having fun!

I can't believe it's Friday already. I love love love being a mommy even after Sasha behaved like a typical 3 year old last night!!

Who knew?

Who knew that Murray liked bedtime stories too? He's such a good boy. It's bedtime and he's laying outside her door right now. (He's also getting a much needed haircut tomorrow!)

Firsts

Our first trip to Panera. Yummy! That's mommy's favorite place to eat.

Our first trip to the salon!

And...

We had our FIRST GUEST Miss Robyn brought us some beautiful clothes!

We had our first cranberry juice spill on the sofa today! Daddy gave her the cup, not mommy!

We had our first playdate with a boy today! They were so cute together. They mostly just played side by side. She was so exhausted when we got home, she slept for 2 1/2 hours and no rocking in the middle.

We had our first family shopping trip at Target today. That was fun! Daddy spent more money than Mommy!

Bathing Beauty and updated Registry Information

You can not add books, dvds, or music to an online registry at Target! Egads!
So, we've created another registry on amazon.com. A teacher's child needs lots of books.

You can see Kristine L Klein's entire Wish List at:http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/2XR1WRZ79MS9

Sasha loves to sing. If we could sing all day long, she'd be so content. Fortunately, she doesn't care that mommy and daddy can't really carry a tune.

Good day!

This picture of the 3 of us was taken at Nana and Papa's house.
The bathtime pictures are from our house!
Mommy and Daddy are tired but we had a really good day. Sasha went down for her nap with no crying and fell asleep in about 5 minutes. Just gave her a bath and she's in bed. She's singing quietly to herself right now.

Information

I don't want to sound greedy but if anyone wants to know, we are registered at Target. She also loves Elmo DVD's and The Wiggles (we just discovered that when we turned on the tv for her this morning).

She is wearing 2T right now. She's so skinny though that even some of those pants are too big but we'll figure it out. Oh, and she's a girly girl and VERY PICKY like her mommy.

THANK YOU for all of your support. It has been helpful to know that others are out there thinking of us.

Babysteps

Sasha was so excited to see everything in her new house last night. She had to touch EVERYTHING she could reach. We took the dogs for a walk and our neighbors were out. They had no idea any of this was going on so we talked to them for a while. Their little girls (1st and 3rd grade) kept coming out of the house with toys for her.

She was so tired but started crying as soon as I left the bedroom last night. Well, that just broke my heart, so I went in with her. I rocked her a little in the rocking chair and then we laid down in the bed and I rubbed her tummy and sang the ABC's over and over. She fell asleep in less then 5 minutes. She moaned a couple times throughout the night but never really woke up until 7:30 this morning. She's now napping and we had no tears for that. Once she's in a routine, it will be easier for all of us.

I haven't had time to download any pictures but will post them when I get a chance. Daddy filmed the first bath last night.

Murray and Dudley are doing ok. They keep looking at me and I know they are thinking, "What did you JUST do?" but I know they'll be fine.

Ok, Mommy's naptime too.

We have custody!

The other couple signed her over to us today!!! We'll have temporary custody until the adoption is finalized. It could take a few months but that's ok. She's ours and we're finally a mommy and daddy.

Her name is Sasha Tatiana. (Tatiana was her name but the other couple changed her first name to Sasha.) She won't be a K. until the adoption is finalized.

More pictures to come. We'll be going home tomorrow to meet Murray and Dudley. (This is not one of our dogs!)
