Elvis has NOT left the building.

It's here!

Eliana has her first tooth just peeking through her gums. I can't believe it and we wouldn't have known had I not been feeling for it. I had a "feeling" that one was coming.

Her symptoms of teething:
1. Sucking on her bottom lip.
2. On Thursday, she sat perfectly still for 2o minutes chewing on my leather key chain.
3. Her gums just looked different.
4. She's been making all kinds of new and interesting noises this week.
5. She didn't eat well yesterday.

I bet you thought that number 6 was going to say, "She's been very fussy and cranky". Nope, not gonna do it. As usual, we have the happiest baby on the block. No fussies, no crankies, no fevers, nothing. Just a tooth.

My Baby is all grown up!

Today was Sasha's first day of Kindergarten. She was so excited and even recognized her teacher FROM THE BACK as we walked into the building this morning. I have to admit, I did get a little teary-eyed watching her walk into her classroom. It feels like she's been with us forever and yet it seems like just yesterday, we were bringing her home. The PTA had a nice little "Boo Hoo" breakfast for the Kindergarten parents this morning.
It will also seem like forever as I brave the car rider line to pick her up today!

Eliana's 2nd Playdate

Aren't they so cute? They both have beautiful eyes and fantastic cheeks!
Ellie's friend Anna is about 2 months younger. During their first playdate, they basically just laid on their backs and looked at the ceiling fan. This time, they were more aware of each other, particularly each other's hair and ears. So while, it wasn't the most non-violent playdate ever, no one was injured and it was still cute to watch them interact.

Everyone should have a dog like Murray.

Please sir, can I have some more?

Ok. I started 2 more blogs to keep you busy each day.

The first one is called Musings of a Momma where you can read all about the weird and random thoughts.

The second one is called Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens. It will be all about the new, fun things I find. Those of you who know me know that I love to shop. I think I also have a little bit of OCD and enjoy obsessing over things I want to buy. Oh and if you buy something that I recommend, let them know where you heard about it. Maybe I'll become famous or get a free product or at least a Thank You card from the company.

Don't worry, I'll still keep this blog as a way of updating you about my precious little nuggets.

I'm done

In the middle of Eliana learning to crawl, looking at houses (a story for another time), going out of town, and Matt working very long hours, I finally...FINALLY finished Harry Potter. I was very careful not to watch any news reports about the book or read any blogs. I stayed away from any Harry Potter posts on my Mommy boards. Unlike my mother who reads the last few pages of books before starting them, I did not want to ruin the ending.

I wasn't yet a mommy when all of the other books were released so I was able to finish them quickly. The last Harry Potter book was released the summer before Sasha came into our lives. These are the types of books that I devour.

FYI, when you are a mommy, you can not devour any books. You can devour a meal. Well, you HAVE to devour a meal or you won't eat but there will be no book devouring!

Despite the fact that it took me 3 weeks...GASP-SHOCK--HORROR...to finish this book, it was still a fabulous story. I can't wait until Sasha is old enough to read them.
