She found her voice

She was telling Murray something but I couldn't figure it out.

For those of you who are technologically challenged, click on the link above! ;)

Buddies

Even after she was pulling on his beard hair and playing with his feet. Murray HATES that!

Just a few cute pictures of Frizz Head

If you click on the pictures, you'll get a closer look at her frizzy hair! The more humid it gets, the curlier her hair gets. Like mother, like daughter.

Dogwearing

Ever since those ridiculous hurricanes a few years ago, Dudley has been terribly afraid of thunderstorms. He begs for me to hold him and if I'm not around, he will run to the nearest lap and climb on. In fact, one time, he even sat on Sasha's lap.

We had a terrible storm here tonight and Dudley was shaking on my lap. I had just taken Eliana out of my Mei Tai carrier. So, I thought, "Why not?" And there he was, all safe and snuggled up against his mommy. He loved it. (Please excuse the crooked pictures. Sasha took them for me.)

I did it!

I allowed Eliana to sleep in her crib last night. Of course, I had the monitor up on the highest volume. It was very weird for me not to have her next to me but I made it through the night.

Now...if she would only sleep through the night!

I love my bathroom!

The master bathroom was the reason we bought this house. It's awesome. And today, it got even awesom-er! ;)

Sasha has been asking for a Slip 'N Slide. I don't think she realizes how much fun they are but she saw one at Target and has been talking about it. It didn't help that I told her how much fun Aunt Kerri and I had on one when we were younger. Daddy says it will ruin the grass.....

After I picked her up today, we went to Target and bought the Mega Shark Slip 'N Slide! Of course, the closer we got to home, the darker the sky got. It was going to rain. It was going to rain and thunder and lightning. As much fun as I had on the Slip 'N Slide, I know what a pain it is to set up and clean up. I certainly didn't want to deal with that and a crying baby, barking dogs, disappointed 5 year old, thunder and lightning.

Enter---Super CREATIVE MOMMY!

Sasha went "swimming" in Mommy's big bathtub. She wanted the water temperature "like the pool" and she played and played while her teeth chattered. I did convince her to warm up the water after a wile.
I'm glad she had fun but I really wanted to play with the Slip 'N Slide. :(

First Swim

Eliana and I got in the pool today while Sasha was taking her swim lessons. She didn't hate it, she didn't love it. In fact, she really didn't care. I guess that's a good thing because even with Sasha splashing her several times, she didn't care. Remember, we do live in Florida and the water is already like bath water so she probably thought she was taking a bath. I also had her in my water sling so it was just like any other day.

Rice Cereal...Take 2

LOVE this face!
Here Murray, you can have it!
Hmmmmm....maybe I do like it.

She's either liking it or laughing at her hysterically funny mommy.

Snap!

She started off with the exact same look as the last time but I'm pretty sure she ended up kind of liking it. As you can see from the pictures, Murray also likes it!

Happy Father's Day!

Daddy's 2nd Father's Day with his 2 BEAUTIFUL girls! (His third beautiful girl was taking the pictures.)
Sasha's shirt says, "My Dad Rocks" and we have glitter all over the house from it.
Eliana's shirt says, "I Love Daddy". My shirt said nothing but I do have one that says, "I Love Me." That would have made a great picture!

I think we've got another model on our hands! Blanket and hat made by Great Nanny!

She's now napping (sometimes) in her crib. Somehow, she always ends up on her tummy!

She needed the beautiful blanket Great Nanny made her to keep her tootsies warm.

Pictures

I am not avoiding you! I have all these great posts to make and then, I just run out of time or energy. So here are some pictures to satisfy your cravings! We got Eliana's furniture in a few weeks ago and I've been slowly working on her room. It's still a work in progress.

I had to put the bedding in the crib at least one time so I could take pictures. Don't worry, I have taken out all the bedding and loose articles! Murray and Sasha were "helping" too.

What would you do?

What would you do if you walked into a public restroom and saw this? Yes, this is an item for sale. It is called The Babykeeper. Now, all of my carriers don't look too funny do they? Oh! I think that I do need this for Sasha!

I can't get used to it.

I just can't get used to Eliana not sleeping through the night and I'm tired. I'm too tired to post on my blog. I lay/lie (Aunt Laura?) in bed at night and write these wonderful posts in my head as I drift off to sleep. But then, Eliana wakes me up at midnight-ish and then again at 4/5ish (the medicine is working well) and everything just leaks right out of my brain.

Do you know that Eliana is 5 months old today? 5 months! I can, however, honestly say that I am enjoying every second of my time with her. I always have in the back of my mind that this is our last baby and I kiss and smell and hug and hold her as much as I can. And if she's spoiled because of it, well then I just don't care because she's my last (and only baby for that matter) baby.
If anyone wants to help me twist Matt's arm for another one, feel free to do so. Give it about a year though. :)
