Fun Times

Our new mattress is coming today!!! I wanted to clean up under the bed and do a little extra dusting so we moved the old one out into the living room. I wish we could keep it out there all the time. Even the dogs are enjoying it!

Shout Out!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my very talented cousin. I'm not sure how it happened but my talent gene got lost somewhere and she got it all! Thanks a lot Mimi!

Anyway, I saw her over Memorial Day and DROOLED all over her diaper bag and not because I had too much wine but because it was so cute. She was super sweet and made a tote bag for me just like it!

She just opened her Hyena Cart store and you should check it out. Such cute, cute stuff! I especially love the teeny tiny little t-shirts for the little ones.

First Movie

I took Eliana to her first Movie Theater Movie today. I took her because they were free! Regal Cinemas and AMC do free movies on certain days during the summer. I can't believe she actually sat for almost the whole movie. I purposely picked an aisle seat close to the exit ramp so we could make a fast getaway as needed. There was probably only about 10 minutes left in the movie when the Skittles ran out...and so did her attention span. Fortunately, the movie was Space Chimps and I'm pretty sure I can figure out the ending.

Shopping Buddy

I'm not sure why se likes fancy shoes so much because I wear flip-flops every single day!

Photobucket

Does he live the life, or what?

This picture was not posed nor were props added after he positioned himself. He's just a smart dog.

French Fries

My mom said that when I was a little girl, all I wanted to eat was French Fries. Sasha has only recently begun to tolerate French...I mean Freedom Fries. Wonder why that name never caugt on?

Anyway...

It seems as though I have another one in the family who loves her some French Fries! She starts asking about them first thing in the morning and I often have to lie to her and tell her that they aren't open. If I didn't, we would have French Fries for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

Murray for sure loves his girls and he loves them even more when they put blankets on the floor for him.

Dudley thinks his girls are ok, especially when they put blankets all over the floor for him.

Sasha's Last Day of First Grade (It was Pajama Day for Sasha. Eliana and her bed head had to be in the picture, too.)

Photo Shoot with the Girls

After the Awards Ceremony, we decided we all looked so pretty so we staged a photo shoot with just the girls. As you can see, we needed a few takes.

Awards

First Grade had their Award's Ceremony a few days before school ended. EVERY single first grader at Sasha's school got an award. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.IN.ALL.8.CLASSES! Eliana was so proud of her sister. In fact, she was so proud of her sister, that while I was trying to get a good picture of Sasha receiving her awards (for Social Studies and Character Education: Caring and Generosity), Eliana tried to walk up on the stage, too! Another first grade teacher caught her just in time and I paid a little less attention to getting a good picture.

Brave Mama

The girls and I were out looking at a house the other day. We were close to my favorite fondue place and this brave little mama decided to take her girls out to eat. Fondue is FUN TO DO!

No one got burned. Sasha enjoys anything involving food. Eliana was fascinated and we all had a great time.

The hair...the hair...

Party Girl

We made a quick visit to PA to visit my family and enjoy their annual Memorial Day Party.

Eliana was soooo excited for the party the next day that she had to wear her bathing suit to bed. At 10:00 at night, I was NOT going to argue with my almost 2 1/2 year old about a silly bathing suit. It made for a cute picture and was really easy to slide off after she quickly fell asleep.

A good time was had by all, young and old!

My Vice

I leanred my vice. We were at a fundraising event with a KICK-ASS silent auction. I've been to events with silent auctions in the past but never participated in them. Well, not this time, I scribbled my name and number 040 on every item I liked. Don't worry, I knew I would get outbid on most items since it was early in the evening.

Knowing that we wanted to make a donation anyway, I silently stalked two items. Fortunately, they were relatively close to each other so I could swoop in as soon as I saw someone make a bid, which I had to do a few times. I LOVED it!!

I won a handmade-blanket-made-by-my-good-friend's-aunt! AND, a bouquet of flowers every month for a year! Yeah me!

Story 2: A New House

We love our house and we love our neighborhood. If we could just pick up the whole thing and move it to a more central location, we'd be happy.

I've also been busy looking at houses. It turns out that the market REALLY does stink right now and our house isn't worth what it should be worth. The other problem is that we have really expensive taste.

Therefore...

No new house, at least right now.

**Sasha couldn't quite understand the concept of moving. She would comment on the toys or decor in the house as though we would get to keep it if we would buy that house. It was pretty cute because most houses we looked at had cute little girl rooms that she loved.**

Ooops!

Here I am! I know you are missing the girls. We've been busy. I've been really busy.

First story. A New Mattress
I've been telling Matt for months that it's time for a new mattress. I guess buying his first king mattress 10 YEARS AGO was very life-changing for him because he kept arguing that there was nothing wrong with the mattress and that he "spent good money on that thing". Ten years ago.

I can hear the springs moving when I'm laying there, just breathing. I can feel when Dudley, my 10...12 pound dog licks his feet on the opposite corner of the bed. The whole bed shakes.

I had to do some obsessive researching online and then some in-person research. How dumb was it that I tested out Tempurpedic mattresses? I didn't buy it.

Matt did. HAHA!

I took him a few days later to hear his opinion but we were both drawn to that damn mattress. We even tested them out by having Sasha lay next to us and rock. The only bed that didn't move was the Tempurpedic. It was on sale. We got free Tempurpedic pillows. It comes on Thursday. We have 90 days to change our mind.

**Oh! And I now know where to take the girls on rainy days. A mattress store! They had the best time running and jumping from bed to bed. The salesperson was super nice and we were the only people in the store.**
