The Tooth Fairy and The Mommy are going broke!

You know we got Sasha a Nintendo DS for her birthday. I thought all would be well and we would easily pass down Sasha's Leapster to Eliana. I even bought a new game for the Leapster to make it more exciting. After all, whenever Sasha was playing with it, that's all Eliana wanted to do.

Yeah, I should have known it would be the same with the Leapster. I held off as long as I could and when Matt finally suggested that I buy a DS for Eliana, I didn't argue, "No! I am not going to buy a $170 game for an almost 2 1/2 year old! Are you crazy?!" I didn't argue because Eliana was already learning how to play the DS while Sasha was in school. I didn't argue because my sister said it only gets worse (her 2 boys each have one and my niece wants one badly and has been waiting for over a year, now). And, now we are a 2 DS household.

It seems as though Murray might want one, too!

Revised---->All I want for Memorial Day...

...is my two front teeth and my lower left-of-my-front-teeth tooth. (I don't know what it's called.)

This tooth fairy is going broke!

Of course, Eliana couldn't be left out either. She claims her tooth fell out, too.

Shopping for Caterpillars

Eliana and I took a trip to the nursery for some new butterfly flowers and some caterpillars.

Mother's Day

We had a nice Mother's Day Brunch at our Synagogue with performances by the Sunday School Classes. I don't have any pictures of the girls and I because the 2 pictures that Matt took of us are TERRIBLE! He now must get my approval of any pictures he takes. The girls looked cute though, didn't they?

After our brunch, I took a trip to the mall BY MYSELF! We had a nice dinner at Chilis and then I opened my gifts. Sasha picked out a tennis outfit for me?! No, I don't play tennis. Needless to say, I'll be taking it back. I've already told her that it doesn't fit me. Little white lies are sometimes necessary.

A few more from Didi and Pap's visit

How many people does it take to make Corn-on-the-Cob?

Ellie and her Pap

Cupcake-palooza

Fortunately, it ended shortly after Sasha's birthday. After I snapped this picture, Eliana thought she would use the pink icing as face paint covering even more of her face.

Where's Our Mommy?

April Showers bring May Festivals

See the flailing feet behind her? Guess who that could be?

Look at her push that big boy out of her way!

It seems like every weekend there is a new festival somewhere around. Didi and I took the girls to one of them while she was here visiting. Eliana LOVES her some bounce house! She only needed Sasha to help her one time down the slide and then I had to climb in to get her out!

Where have I been?

Around.

I've really been involved with Fertile Dreams lately and I'm really enjoying it. I've also been stepping up my online work because the extra Paypal is good for spending on Etsy! Can you believe that I actually found an online personal shopping job (thanks to my friend Stacy B)? What a perfect job for me! The only problem is that I find I'm spending too much time with one person and it's not worth my pay. I'm going to give it a try for a few more weeks, though, because it really is my cup o' tea!

And our dishwasher is broken. :( Washing dishes takes time. Hopefully, it will be fixed by this Friday.

My video game girls:
Sasha is loving her Nintendo DSi and Eliana is loving her hand-me-down Leapster!

Eliana's First Roller Coaster Ride

She wants to ride them all the time. We were in Kohls the other day and she asked to ride the elevator. When I told her that there was no elevator, she said, "I want to ride the roller coaster, now!"

I was so happy to see that she was tall enough for Goofy's Barnstormer Roller Coaster and couldn't wait to get her on it!

Her face looks like she's scared but the second the ride stopped, she said, "I ride it again, Mommy!" I wish I would have kept the camera running.

Meeting her Idol

Eliana is in LOVE with Tinkerbell. She watches the movie all the time and frequently pretends to be Tinkerbell. I get to play the roll of the Queen.

We waited in line for 45 minutes...maybe even longer but I lost count trying to entertain a very tired and grouchy 2-year-old and an OVERtired, hyper 7-year-old. It was all worth it to see Eliana's face when she first saw Tinkerbell. She couldn't take her eyes off of her and she just kept giggling and giggling. Disney took the sweetest picture of Eliana hugging Tinkerbell good-bye but I'm trying to decide if I want to pay $14.95 for a 4x6 print of it. $14.95!!!!

Happy 7th Birthday, Sasha: The 2-Day Celebration!

As per my usual organized, efficient (ahem...neurotic) self, I had Sasha's birthday party scheduled a few months in advance. Much to my dismay, just a few weeks ago, the place where Sasha's party was scheduled, had to close down. I was so disappointed because it was Eliana's gym and we loved it there AND where the heck was I going to have Sasha's birthday party at such short notice? I stressed all afternoon, emailing Matt at work constantly, and researching online obsessively.

Matt and I finally decided that since Didi and Pap would be here for Sasha's birthday, that we would have a family dinner the night of her birthday and then take the day off on Friday and go to Disney to celebrate. There was no need to rush into scheduling a last minute party at a noisy, sweaty bounce house place. Wahoooooo!

Sasha wasn't too hard to convince and she was more than happy to agree when she heard we would be missing school! I still wanted something special for her, not that she needed it with all of the presents she received, but I wanted something special to celebrate her day. We were so lucky to get lunch reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table! We had the best time, too. The food was great and the girls absolutely loved hugging all of the princesses.

Festival

Our downtown has lots of great festivals. Here are some pictures from just one of many coming up in the next few weeks.

Another Sign of Spring

Not that we need any signs, being that we do live in FL! How cute was this?? I didn't dare get any closer to them or make the girls pose with them because when I was a little girl, I had a scary goose incident. They are mean but they sure do make cute babies!

What she said.

She SAID she was a witch but I just don't see it.
